Hannah Millsted-Bowdery joined the Surrey Care Association as a Non-Executive Director in 2019, to assist with driving strategy, lobbying for members, and working with events to enable the best out of social care.
Hannah is the CEO of the Millsted Group, a collection of five companies with inclusivity and individual potential at their core, incorporating the award-winning Millsted Care and Dayspace, alongside Corinne’s Coffee, Millsted Consultancy and Disruptable Productions.
With a background in HR and recruitment, Hannah made the move to the Millsted Group in 2014, assuming the role of HR Director, directing her experience back into the care industry within the family firm. In 2021, Hannah took over the company reins from Chris and Mike Millsted, with the vision of building on the range of outstanding services offered for learning disabled adults and beyond.
A social entrepreneur, Hannah is passionate about driving innovation and change in the world of adult social care. And her unique approach to service provision has helped to ensure company growth and expansion, against a backdrop of uncertainty in the industry – including the 2023 opening of Corinne’s Coffee, a social enterprise coffee business, providing a pathway to employment for learning disabled adults. And in 2024, the addition of Disruptable Productions to the Millsted Group portfolio, an inclusive production company with a mission to make theatre and performing accessible for all.
When not immersing herself in all things adult social care, Hannah takes on the additional role of mother to two girls, and director and performer across numerous Surrey-based amateur dramatic companies.
