The session will begin with a welcome and registration from 11am, followed by a presentation from Niki Wakelin of Big Life Adventure, a secure, web-based social media and life-planning platform designed specifically for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Marnie Cotterill, Senior Commissioning Manager at Surrey County Council, will then provide an update on the recent Support in the Community tender. Finally, we will hear from Sally Murray and Helen Tindall, who lead on technology in care at Surrey County Council. They will share innovative work they have been undertaking with providers of Supported Living services and explain how you can get involved.
You’ll also hear the latest Surrey Care Association news and updates from Nicola McLeish, before taking part in a sector feedback group discussion – an opportunity to share experiences, raise challenges and help shape future SCA priorities.
