  • Date:
  • Time: 10:30 - 12:00 GMT
  • Registration fee: Member Fee - £0.00 | Non-Member Fee - £

Welcoming and practical session for home-based care providers—whether you already have experience of research in care or would simply like to learn more about research in social care.

This is not just a series of presentations. Alongside a welcome and introductions, there will be time to share your experiences, thoughts, questions and suggestions with other providers and the speakers.

What we will explore

  • Participating in social care research – a provider’s perspective, including practical learning from experience.
  • Managing concerns about consent and the time involved in undertaking research, while recognising the benefits research can bring.
  • How the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) can help social care providers begin their research journey, and the support that is already available.

Help shape a free toolkit for providers

Your insight will help us develop a free, practical toolkit to support all home-based care providers to engage in research activity—for the benefit of your organisations, your staff and the people that you support.

Come with your experience, your curiosity and your questions. No previous research experience is required.
