The Surrey Care Awards 2026 – Compassion in Action
The Surrey Care Awards are back for 2026, and this year we proudly celebrate the theme “Compassion in Action”.
Compassion is more than a value in social care – it is something lived, demonstrated and felt every day. It is shown in small, thoughtful moments and in extraordinary acts of dedication. The Surrey Care Awards 2026 will recognise those who transform compassion into action, improving lives through empathy, commitment and excellence across Surrey’s adult social care sector.
Following the outstanding success of previous years, the awards return to honour the individuals, teams and organisations who lead with heart, purpose and professionalism – and who exemplify what it truly means to care.
On Friday the 6th of November 2026 our awards event will once again take place at the stunning Denbies Wine Estate, nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills – a fitting setting for an evening that reflects pride, professionalism and purpose.
This will be a night of recognition, reflection and celebration – applauding those who quietly and consistently put compassion into action, often without expectation of reward.
Surrey Care Association welcomes nominations from all adult social care providers operating across the county, and we encourage everyone involved in the sector to take part in celebrating the people who make such a meaningful difference.

Nominations are now open, and we are inviting you to help us spotlight compassion where it matters most.
Under the theme “Compassion in Action”, we are calling for nominations for social care staff and services across Surrey.
Whether it’s a care worker who goes the extra mile, a team that supports each other through challenge, or a provider driving positive change – this is your opportunity to recognise those who put compassion into practice every single day.
Let’s celebrate Surrey’s social care professionals and ensure their compassion does not go unnoticed.

How to Write a Great Nomination
When nominating, imagine you’re telling a story.
In no more than 600 words, help the judging panel understand:
- What makes this person team or organisation special?
- How do they bring “Compassion in Action” to life?
- What real difference do they make to people every day?
👉 The strongest nominations include specific, real-life examples – moments, actions, or outcomes that show the impact of their work.
Final Tip
The best nominations are:
- Clear and specific
- Evidence-based
- Focused on real impact
If the judges can clearly picture the difference made, your nomination will stand out.
