Ready and Resilient

Autumn conference success

  • Published

We were delighted to see over 70 members at our ‘Building Resilience’ SCA Autumn conference.

Said Nicola McLeish, CEO: ‘We are facing an ever-evolving landscape of challenges and opportunities, so we delivered this conference with the aim to equip professionals with the tools and insights needed to foster resilience. In both ourselves as individuals – and within our organisations.’

We had a set of inspiring talks from a diverse group of speakers all with the common thread of resilience running through. From understanding what constitutes a safeguarding alert, cyber security in social care through to preparing for inquests, preparing for winter pressures, and of course a keynote speech from Professor Vic Rayner OBE (right).

We also held our AGM where we discussed the work done so far and what we intend to do going looking forward into 2025 and beyond.  We want you to help inform the priorities of Surrey Care Association into the future, so please do complete this very short survey here with your views.*unsplash
