How to write a successful job ad that gets applicants

The most successful social care recruiters follow three rules when writing job ads.

  1. Put the benefits of working for your company at the top of the ad. Do you offer extra shifts, a guaranteed number of hours, or staff development? Showcase what you offer.  
  2. Be upfront about shift patterns, including weekend work. The candidate needs to know they can do the hours, otherwise you’re wasting their time and your own.  
  3. Always include rates of pay!
